Words will
definitely fail us to describe our gratitude to Mr Thaine Norris and his family
for his visit to us between May 2nd and 9th.
Early this year, we
were confronted with the reality of his visit to our community, Jenta Mangoro,
but it was hard to wrap our minds around this reality. We kept planning to receive
him but we were still perplexed.
To the glory of God,
Mr Norris arrived the Abuja International Airport on Wednesday the 2nd
day of May, 2018 with 100 pounds weight of books. He arrived Jos Thursday
morning and lived with us in our humble community. It was a week of activities
including talks, meets, visits, teaching, interactions and fellowship. It was a
week of Books and The Book!
We did nothing to
have Mr Thaine come over from the United States to Jenta Mangoro. It was purely
in the design of God to have him be part of what He (God) is doing in our
community. He came with amazing books and great love & encouragement. Therefore,
we are ever grateful.
Our gratitude go out
to all the Jenta-Reads Team members who worked hip-and-thigh to make this week
a success; giving their all to make it blissful. We are thankful!
Our deep appreciation
also goes out to the Community Head of Jenta, Community Development Chair, parents
within the community and our friends both within and without, who contributed
in many ways to the success of the week. We are utmost grateful. 
This is a great leap
for our initiative. We are encouraged and more committed to charting a new
course for our local community.
We look forward to
working with you to change the existing narrative. We are resolved to rewrite
our story…join us in rebuilding a new Jenta.
